Ripple and its digital token XRP have always been embraced by a large audience thus any misinformation caught hits the mainstream media. As such, XRP community member recently found on social media hitting BitMEX Research for some propaganda it has made on its research paper.

However, the research paper was released a year ago and very recently ‘David Schwartz’ involved in an argument with BitMEX. David Schwartz who is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Ripple disagree with the statement BitMEX has mentioned. The point on which he argued that ‘ Bitcoin’s network is more resilient than that of XRP as it uses ‘Proof-of-work (PoW). He pointed as;
“You have got to be kidding me! 51% of hashing power can shut the network down by double spending. It’s not clear how you fix this with bitcoin. With Ripple, it’s clear – honest nodes change validators. PoW is worse, period.”
Besides David, there are many other crypto enthusiasts that have joined the communication. Tiffany Hayden who is also an XRP community member said that ‘We need to get on @BitMEXResearch for not correcting their error-filled “research. adding that;

Following the argument by these enthusiasts, BitMEX Research finally responded positively to point to the errors, if any.
